DC Comics’ The Source blog has put up a preview of Flashpoint: Wonder Woman and the Furies #1, which comes out tomorrow. It features Themyscira, Diana and Phillipus, cargo ships, and a very large sea monster. Check it out:
It looks like some Atlanteans, perhaps even Aquaman himself, will save Diana, and then the Atlanteans and Amazons will become friends (maybe?) and there will be an arranged marriage between Aquaman and Diana. An arranged marriage doesn’t sound like something Hippolyta would go for, though… I’m curious to see how they set that up. Anyway, by the time we get to the Flashpoint present, things will have soured between the couple, resulting in a massive war. The Amazons take over Great Britain and Europe sinks. I need to get to my comic shop soon and see what’s going on with Flashpoint… I’m a few weeks behind. But yeah, the Wonder Woman book looks interesting so far.
Also, Nei Ruffino is colouring the book!! She’s the first woman to work on a Wonder Woman book this year, so that’s fun!!
