Wonder Woman #10 Cover Is Super Creepy!!

Vaneta Rogers interviewed Bob Wayne and John Rood on Newsarama today, talking about the February sales numbers, and the interview was accompanied by some new DC art, including what appears to be the cover for Wonder Woman #10:

It’s really fun AND really creepy!!  I freaking love Cliff Chiang.  Wonder Woman’s got an ominous skull face and uncharacteristically limp hair (Chiang’s been drawing it full-bodied and wavy so far this run), and she’s pale like a ghost.  She seems a little bonier too.  Wonder Woman’s still got her love guns, though, which is a good sign.  Hopefully this is just what happens when you take a ride on the River Styx with Charon, and not a hint at something bad happening this issue!!

The full solicit should be released either next week or the week after, and I’ll be sure to post it.  Wonder Woman #10 should come out on the third Wednesday of June, which looks to be June 20th.

It is rather the grabber, but my favourite skeleton Wondy image remains Frank Miller’s WW #298 cover.

That Miller cover is a classic, but it’s a little gross for me. I’d give the edge to Chiang for balancing the creepiness and the grossness. Plus you know how I feel about Cliff Chiang 🙂
