Wonder Woman Unbound is out one week from today, and it’s been getting some very nice reviews. One of the most notable is in the new issue of Bust magazine, where it was named this issue’s “Lit Pick” and received a five star review (but not stars; because it’s Bust magazine, they have a boob-based ratings system). Here’s a picture of the page I’m on:
So that’s cool! Bust is a magazine that I’m very glad to be associated with. It’s simultaneously feminist and fun, and always features an eclectic and interesting array of people and topics. Shailene Woodley, Paramore’s Hayley Williams, Neko Case, and Janelle Monae are their most recent cover girls, so you know they’re a classy publication. The hilarious Amy Schumer is on the cover of this month’s issue; they spotlight a lot of badass ladies.
It’s wonderful to get good reviews, but it’s especially nice when those reviews come from a publication that I have a lot of respect and admiration for. A recommendation in Ms. and now a great review in Bust is beyond exciting; it’s a thrill to be mentioned in these fantastic, feminist publications. My thanks to Shannon Carlin and everyone at Bust!
