Wonder Woman Holiday Gift Guide 2015

It’s now December, and the festive season is in full swing. You’re probably going to have to buy gifts, and soon! You’ve got family, friends, Secret Santa at work; it adds up to a lot of folks to gets presents for. Luckily, everybody loves Wonder Woman (and if they don’t then they’re probably not the sort of person you should buy presents for because they have poor taste and don’t deserve fun things). So here is a gift guide for various Wonder Woman products available now that you can go purchase for the Wonder Woman enthusiast in your life, or add to your own list to Santa:

Justice League Wonder Woman Bust 3D Puzzle

I got this for my birthday earlier this year, and it’s really cool. And hard too! It’s not a ton of pieces, but it takes a little while to get the hang of it. It comes with instructions, and even then it’s still tricky. And very fun. I highly recommend it.

Sensation Comics featuring Wonder Woman Volume 1 and 2

None of Wonder Woman’s mainline titles, and their subsequent collections, are terribly good, but Sensation Comics is fantastic. Both of these volumes are excellent choices, with plenty of good stories in each. And if you’re looking for stocking stuffers, single issues could be fun too. I highly recommend #5 with Corinna Bechko and Gabriel Hardman’s fantastic Apokolips tale, James T. Tynion IV and Noelle Stevenson’s great teen Wonder Woman in #8, and a team up with Poison Ivy in #12.

Wonder Woman by George Perez Omnibus

This hardcover collects the first 24 issues of George Perez’s legendary Wonder Woman run that began in 1987. It’s a very nice book, and though it doesn’t have much in the ways of extras it makes up for that in terms of the sheer volume of story. It’s over 500 pages long! All of it quite enjoyable.

DC Comics Designer Series Wonder Woman by Jae Lee Action Figure

I love a good action figure, and this is my favourite Wonder Woman figure to come out this year. The costume is a little different, from an alternate Earth with Jae Lee’s twist on things as seen in the pages of Batman/Superman. It’s unique and kind of cool, and I’m very into it.gift5Wonder Woman Shield Logo 24 oz. Soup Mug

“A mug?” you exclaim incredulously. “That sound so boring!” But no, it’s great! I have this mug and I use it all the time. I have oatmeal in it every morning and have enjoyed several delicious soups in it. The handle makes it handy for transporting, it’s nice and deep, and it looks cool. Get one!

Wonder Woman Shirts

It’s always fun to get a Wonder Woman shirt, and there are about a billion choices out there these days. A few sites with fun options are Simply Superheroes, Stylin’ Online, and Superhero Stuff.

Astonishing Lady Shirt by Kate Beaton

One shirt you won’t find on those sides is this great new one from Topatoco and Kate Beaton. It’s “Astonishing Lady” instead of “Wonder Woman”, probably for copyright reasons, but it’s definitely Wonder Woman, just Beaton’s hilarious version thereof. I’m hoping to find this under my tree this year.

Wonder Woman Reversible Women’s Hoodie

I wish this hoodie came in men’s sizes, because it’s awesome. Both sides look great, it’s got Wonder Woman up the wazoo, and it has a full zipper. I’m all about a full zip when it comes to hoodies. Cozy AND stylish is the way to roll.

Wonder Woman Art of War by Robert Valley Statue

If you’ve got some money burning your hole in your pocket, statues are a good way to go. I love this one designed by Robert Valley, based on his spectacular animated Wonder Woman shorts. It’s a cool, different take on Wonder Woman with a rad style.

Wonder Woman Symbol Collar Necklace

I bought one of these for my sister for her birthday and it’s really quite nice. It’s substantive but not too big, and the quality is pretty high, especially for the price. I think the design of it is great, and it wears well.

So there you have it, tons of fun Wonder Woman options for the holiday season. Fill your stockings with Amazon fun!  And while you’re shopping, perhaps considering picking up my book, Wonder Woman Unbound: The Curious History of the World’s Most Famous Heroine. It’s a fun gift for anyone interested the history of the character!

Thank you for the shout out to our website, Tim. We’ve got a lot of great Wonder Woman shirts including sublimated, all-over-print double-sided ones. One of our favorites is the one that’s the cover of the George Perez Omnibus cover. Almost all of them are available in both mens and juniors’ sizes.

I notice that in your older posts the images were clickable which would give you a larger image, or at least display the image on a separate page which made it easier to view, especially in e-mails. In your recent posts this is not the case. Is this a change to WordPress or are you posting your images differently?

    • Tim Hanley Says:

Yeah, it’s WordPress. The posting system is different, particularly with pictures. I’ll play around with things to see if there’s any way to get it back like it was. Thanks for pointing this out!
