Honey Boo Boo’s Comic Book Homage To Wonder Woman

Apparently Bluewater still exists, making their terrible biographical comics about celebrities, and I guess they’ve gone through all the real celebrities because now they’re putting out a Honey Boo Boo issue.  For those of you not familiar with Honey Boo Boo, congratulations on avoiding that and I’ll spare you the foolish details, though as a sidenote I’m worried about your hermit tendencies.  You’d have to live under a rock to miss this one.

Not only does Honey Boo Boo have a comic book, but one of it’s variant covers is an homage to Sensation Comics #1, Wonder Woman’s second comic book appearance.  It’s actually pretty faithful too.  They did a good job copying the original cover.

Now, of course Honey Boo Boo is no Wonder Woman, and I’m sure some diehard fans will be offended that she’s being associated with a silly reality star.  I think it’s kind of amusing, though.  It’s certainly the cleverest thing I’ve seen from Bluewater, although that is a very low bar.  And I appreciate the detail they put into recreating the original cover.  I could care less about Honey Boo Boo, but it’s not a bad cover.
