This Picture From A Wonder Woman Porn Parody Is Sadly The Best Live Action Wonder Woman I’ve Ever Seen

In what is sure to be a first for this site, I’m about to praise a Wonder Woman porn movie.  This picture from the upcoming Wonder Woman XXX: An Axel Braun Parody starring Kimberly Kane as Wonder Woman is pretty much the best live action Wonder Woman costume I’ve ever seen:

wwporn

It’s based on the New 52 Wonder Woman, and seems to have more in common with Cliff Chiang’s version than Jim Lee’s.  And it’s VERY good.  It blows that terrible costume from the David E. Kelly pilot right out of the water, and captures the style of the comics while still looking cool and workable in real life.  I’m really quite impressed with it.  I hate Wonder Woman porn because UGH have we not objectified the character enough, but this costume is extremely well done.

Also, how sad is it that the best live action Wonder Woman we’ve seen since Lynda Carter comes from a porn parody?  Get it together, Warner Bros.  Make a Wonder Woman movie, and maybe talk to Axel Braun’s costume designer.  It’s a sad, sad day for Wonder Woman when a porn director is more committed to getting the character right than the company that actually owns her.

  1. Wow. She looks absolutely stunning. A pity that this costume is going to be tainted by being featured in a porn movie. I think her alternate costume from “Injustice: Gods Among Us” would be great for live action as well.

    1. Yeah, it’s so depressing that such a well-done Wonder Woman costume is going to be used in a porn flick. Though I suppose as a metaphor for the current state of Wonder Woman’s treatment by DC and WB, it couldn’t be more apt.

  2. A good WW costume that fits in a porno flick…why don’t fans of WW want her to wear pants again? Seriously was I the only one supporting the JMS new style of WW that actually wore pants for a change.

Look at that costume, it looks completely ridiculous in real life. Her shorts almost leave nothing to the imagination. I know that this is a porno and if it was a real live action costume the shorts would be a bit bigger…but only by a bit. This is pretty damn close and its completely unacceptable. “It blows that terrible costume from the David E. Kelly pilot right out of the water, and captures the style of the comics while still looking cool and workable in real life”, oh yeah its better than the David E. Kelly pilot costume simply for the fact that it looks more authentic but “workable in real life”? Sorry but that is simply wrong (opinion).

In a live action version of WW, I want the audience to take one of my favorite superheroes seriously, something that can not be done when she is off fighting crime in what basically looks like undergarments. Even you said it before Hanley that WW and other female superheroes are dressed provocatively simply for the comic book male viewer. She needs to put some pants on at the very least in order to be brought on screen to a world wide audience so that they could learn to take the medium of comic books more seriously.

    ………rant over 😛 LOL

    1. You make a fair point. The costume above gets a little dodgy in the crotch region. It’s remarkably tame for a porn flick, but definitely a bit much for a real life costume. I’ve never minded the idea of pants for Wonder Woman, but personally I’m very much a fan of the skirt look. But yeah, the briefs are going to be really problematic in any sort of live action version of the character.

  3. I hate to say it but WWs costume lends itself far too easily to porn parody, much like Vampirella’s. The inherent sexiness is built in.
This may be the politically correct reason why DC decided to change her costume in the Oddysey storyline, wiht a view to marketing it as her ‘official’ costume, in lieu of a possible movie.
Back in 1975, actresses like Lynda wouldnt have been too bothered over wearing the WW costume, but today s actresses fearful of their marketable image would likely feel intimidated and slightly demeaned if required to wear something like that. One of the main complaints about the Palicki tv movie was her altered costume [ironic, as her recent role – in the new G.I. Joe movie is exploitative in the extreme]..
Its a pity the only authentic costume we ever get is seen in a porno. I long for the day when we get an actress wearing it in a big-budget movie or tv show.

    1. It’s hard to pull off wearing what is essentially a swimsuit for an entire movie. I think Lynda Carter pulled it off on the show because it was sort of campy, but if the studio was going to do a more realistic take on the character, it’s hard to imagine the usual costume working. If we ever do get a proper Wonder Woman movie, I’m pretty sure that the costume will have a slightly different look.

  4. Unless you KEEP the swimsuit costume, the MOVIE will NEVER have a chance. How many women, when they were girls and fans of the Lynda Carter show, EVER worry about twirling and changing into THE ICONIC Swimsuit costume? How many of THESE fans EVER took this Political topic into ANY consideration? Superheroes are FANTASY and part of that fantasy is being true to the character. Wonder Woman’s FAN FAVORITE costume IS the Swimsuit. The movie makers just need to GET OVER this fact, realize that MOST fans WANT this costume and just get someone who looks the part of an Amazon Warrior and make a compelling film.

    1. Fans do love the costumes, but movie executives love changing them. See: the X-Men in leather, Batman in essentially full armour, Superman without briefs this summer. The swimsuit is a great look, but it’s hard to pull off and hard to make look believable on screen. If we ever do get a Wonder Woman movie, and that’s a BIG if, I think they’ll change the outfit.

  5. Greetings! This is my first visit to your blog!
We are a collection of volunteers and starting a new initiative in a community in

You have done a wonderful job!

  6. I was wondering if you ever thought of changing the layout of your site?
Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people
could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot
of text for only having one or two pictures. Maybe you could space it
    out better?
